The Pakistan media widely reported that President Zaradari had decided to free Sarabjit Singh, the man who is in Pakistan jail for 22 years and has been blamed for two blasts in Pakistan which took 10 lives. Almost 8 hours later presidential spokesperson, F. Babar, clarified that the authorities had taken steps for the release of another Indian prisoner named Surjeet Singh,who is in the same jail since 3 decades for mistakingly entering Pakistan and has been there for 5 years more than his punished duration and not Sarabjit Singh.
Sarabjit Singh has been awarded death sentence and has been in Lahore jail since 22 years. His family from Punjab has been fighting a long battle trying to prove his innocence and applying for mercy pleas to Pakistan government.

Was it Poor Communication between Pakistani Official that created confusion ?
It is astonishing that Pakistani President’s Office has completely taken a u-turn. Pakistani Media had been highlighting the release of Sarabjit and critics and extremist groups were also raising voice against this decision of the President.Probably that made the President’s Office name Surjit Singh to be the one to be released and not Sarabjit. And if this was some intentional decision of mocking at India, it is time Pakistan grows up ! Was it lack of Communication between Pakistani officials or Pakistan Government’s intentional mischief ? The biggest question over here is Surjit Singh has already spend 35 years in Pakistan Jail and that is 5 years more than the term he was supposed to serve.His release was anyways due and did not need any confirmation from Pakistani President’s Office. What made them announce Surjit Singh’s release ? What took the Pakistani Government almost 8 hours to rectify the Media Report about Sarabjit Singh’s release ? This act was either deliberate or a perfect u-turn after constant criticisms from extremist groups which scared the Pakistani President,Zardari .
