SP distributes laptops to students with Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Wallpapers

Samajwadi Party completed its 1 year of government in Uttar Pradesh and keeping his promise , Chief Minister , Akhilesh Yadav has started distributing HP laptops to students of the state. The interesting thing about these laptops is all of them have a hard-to-change Wallpaper with SP supremo,Mulayam Singh and CM Akhilesh’s snap. 😀
The funniest part is , many students have ended up crashing or technically spoiling the laptop , in order to change the wallpaper with CM’s and SP supremo’s  snap ! However, the service to these laptops is absolutely free from HP .
Noteworthy information about these laptops are :
Recipients will soon be warned by HP not to tamper with the BIOS to remove the politicians’ photos- they will stay on screen for five seconds.(You just cannot help it !) 😀
Do not think its a gift from the government. The laptop is government property and selling it, misusing it or destroying it can lead to legal consequences.(Its more to remind you that its the SP which availed the laptop to you for use only. Be thankful) 😀

MLAs of Uttar Pradesh decline Akhilesh’s Car Offer ?

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav has proposed that MLAs who do not have a car of their own should be allowed to buy a car within Rs 20 lakhs, using state funds, for survey work in their constituencies. After the 5 year term the car could be returned to the government or be bought by the MLA at a depreciated value. Most of the MLAs were happy the way they are ! Some expressed ideas of spending the money on development work of their constituencies rather than buying cars out of taxpayer’s money.

Well, it sounds astonishing that our politicians are bothered about the public and not themselves and that too in a state like Uttar Pradesh where the last Chief Minister,Mayawati, had spent lakhs and crores of state-fund to build her own and party symbol’s(elephant) monuments ,all over the state capital! 🙂

Akhilesh Yadav’s simplicity-drops 32 cars in his fleet and closed specialized hospital within his official residence!

The new Chief Minister of U.P., Akhilesh Yadav has issued orders to cut down the cars in his fleet from 40 to just 8 and also ordered the specialised hospital formed on orders of Mayawati(in 2008) and costs the state exchequer Rs. 75 lakh per annum. The hospital had a medical superintendent, 22 pharmacists, a dozen nurses, 4 hi-tech ambulances and specialist doctors on 24×7 dutyoperating in official residence of CM.

Akhilesh has ordered the doctors and nurses to be sent to hospitals where they are needed more. Akhilesh has done away with many security measures taken by former CM Maywati.

Akhilesh’s move so far worth applauding but this is just the beginning and only the passing by time would let us know if all these efforts from youngest CM of Uttar Pradesh are really worth praising.

What is fate of statues of Mayawati ?

Still, what is the fate of Mayawati’s ‘Symbol of Pride’, after being declared to remain unhurt, by SP ?

Follow News on Akhilesh Yadav taking oath

15th March 2012, Akhilesh Yadav took the oath and now he is the Chief-Minister of nation’s biggest state. This reminds of him announcing on September 25th 2011 that Mayawati’s statues , both of herself and mostly of her Elephants (party symbol), would be demolished once the SP comes to power and when SP actually won with majority , he also announced , BSP symbol statues and Mayawati statues  would remain unhurt. He showed his generosity and in a way he can always remind the proud Supremo of BSP,Mayawati, of SP’s rule, by letting the statues remain the way they are, literally!  Again it is his choice how he wishes to treat those ‘Mayawati symbols of pride’ but surely he may not provide the statues with facilities of security -guards.When the state was dying with lack of food and jobs , the former CM managed to spend multi-crores in installing her symbols of pride and what is the fate of those symbols , now that her reign is over,is up to the ruling party SP. Will the statues, like all other statues of the nation, suffer from bird attacks ?

Akhilesh Yadav Chosen as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh

38-year-old, Akhilesh Yadav has been declared as the Chief  Minister for Uttar Pradesh by Samajwadi Party. He would also be the youngest Chief-Minister of the State. Any guesses, why father Mulayam Singh Yadav , the much-anticipated candidate of the party opted out and allowed son Akhilesh to take charge ?

Mayawati’s Press Conference After Resigning from CM’s Post !

BJP, Congress and Media to be blamed for BSP defeat in Uttar Pradesh ?

Kumari Mayawati, now the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh , in her Press Conference , after resignation declared her defeat BJP and Congress as major reason of her party’s defeat as they helped polarisation of Muslim Vote Bank, as per her, which benefited the Samajwadi Party. Also she expressed that the Muslim voters were scared that BJP may gain power in the state hence they supported SP.

Well, BJP has been an under-dog in Uttar Pradesh and this is no hidden fact from the nation , forget about the state. The most shocking part has been that rather than blaming her own governance where scams got exposed and corrupt ministers were getting caught and to top it key people getting murdered while the enquiry kept deepening, she held other parties responsible for her defeat. The useless expense of multi-crores on Park and Statues seemed all right to her, guess ! As if people do not count on them. She also praised her government’s work comparing the condition in which BSP had taken charge of administration in 2007 and also assured media that soon people of the state would be fed up with SP which over-threw them with a massive majority win. She did not stop there and also calmly blamed the Media for hyping issues in favour of BJP and Congress and warned the media that soon voters would feel cheated by media for reporting in favour of Congress and BJP. She did not blame herself for stopping to held Janata Darbars which she used to during the initial days. She did not blame herself for not even meeting the officers in te administration for months.

Samajwadi Party All Set to Win with Majority in Uttar Pradesh !

Is it the Akhilesh Yadav magic or the magic of non-performance by the BSP ? Whatever it is, Uttar Pradesh election results indicate clear intention of most of UPites to bring the SP government back and hence SP is about to win seats over 202 , the base mark for majority. This way it would not need help of either the Congress or the Independent Candidates to form Government.

However, this win does come with loads of expectations of development of the state in every field, be it industrial, educational or agricultural. Construction of Memorial Parks , Monuments and Statues cannot be claimed as development anymore!

Who will make Government in UP ? Counting Begins!

Will it be SP+Congress ?

So far Mulayam Singh’s Samajwadi Party, guided by son Akhilesh Yadav is heading towards lead over all other parties. As expected Bahujan Samaj Party of Mayawati seems to be getting out of power and Samajwadi Party seems to be making the government. In the worst case with the association of Congress, as BJP has declared they would not support either the SP or the BSP. 202 out of 403 seats would be the number of Majority which any party or a group of parties would need to form a government. SP seems to be getting over 150 plus seats so far and it might have to deal with Congress to cover up the gap as BJP would not support them and BSP is the major opponent with which SP itself would not be joining hands.

By the end of the day a clear picture of who would be governing Uttar Pradesh would be clear including what can be the likely change that can happen in 2014 General Elections!

Who Will Win In Uttar Pradesh ?

Anticipations of SP winning with majority and probable alliance opportunities amongst the Big Parties to form government has been flooding news channels and sites. It is a noticeable fact that all the major parties have been blaming each other for something or the other , in their respective speeches during campaigning. Now it would be noteworthy if parties join hands to form government, as clear win for any party seems still doubtful, so far! Well, no matter whosoever wins , all the major parties including Congress,BJP,SP and BSP have got opportunities in the past and none left the opportunities to dishearten the state.

Votes in Uttar Pradesh are still divided on the basis of caste and religion and regardless the leaders be corrupt or inefficient they convince their voters either by blaming Central Government or by declaring corruption charges as conspiracy against them. It is not even the fault of voters, most of whom live in rural areas and are below or at par with poverty line. Literacy percent is still low and exposure to the outer world is very limited. In Uttar Pradesh, the major agenda should be development of the under-grown state and even the voters should think of benefits of the State as a whole and not just a community.

UP Elections-Season of Promises

As the dates of U.P. elections are nearing by , the more is louding up the “Trumpets of the Elephants”(BSP), “the Rings of the Cycle Bells”(SP),”the Claps of the Hands”(Congress) and the Beauty and “Incense of the Lotus flower”(BJP).

Reminders of developments (so what ? if just the parks and the statues ) by the ruling party is getting louder.

Other contesting parties also recall the surprise visits , they (their leader) made by suddenly barging into farmers house(of course with the media) for dinner and pretending to be disghusted with the present conditions of  the farmers( as if , if they win, will give bungalows to the farmers ).

And some would not talk what they did and what others did not but directly come to the point that if they win the elections, what gifts can the citizens expect.

The embarassing fact about Political Elections in our country  is, we are made to choose between the Bad, Worse and the Worst and once we select best of the lott, it is the Bad Party which turns Worst and the cycle goes on!
