Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde gave an advice for Arvind Kejriwal , the new Chief Minister of Delhi,on how to run a coalition government.He sited example of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the matter and asked Kejriwal to learn from Dr Singh how to run a government in coalition.The Congress has given support to AAP with its eight seats from outside to help run AAP’s government in Delhi.Although AAP is supported by Congress ,it is not refraining from making statements against Congress and BJP.
Is that the way coalition govt work? Isn’t coalition govt an unsaid understanding between parties where the supporting party should be kept happy at any cost ? 😀 What better could have been an example of how to run a coalition govt than our UPAII govt? 😉
In between the rescue operations , both Congress and BJP has chosen to politically utilize the situation while blaming each other of doing so. BJP on the other hand is giving Congress a hard time due to Rahul Gandhi’s absence in yet another crises.
While, External Affairs Minister , Salman Khurshid and Digvijay Singh of Congress seem busy defending Union Home Minister,Sushil Kumar Shinde’s statement that training camps of BJP and RSS are promoting hindu terrorism and justify his statements,the biggest terror in India and for the common man of India (Aam Aadmi) is continuous price-hike.The bomb of price rise in petrol and diesel has been quite frequent and has automatically raised prices of basic necessities of living.To add on, the LPG cylinder numbers are capped( for subsidized rate benefits) and now the Railway Ticket Fares are also raised.

Delhi gangrape – A brutal gang-rape and physical assault in a bus in Delhi is a ‘breaking news’ since last 5 days.Outraged nation,active cops,timely ‘Breaking News Updates from Media,concerned government and opposition parties,its all happening the way it happens only in India. Sheila Dikshit, the Chief Minister of Delhi got emotional and said she would do whatever it takes to save the girl. Previously, after the issue had created a buzz in the Parliament, Sonia Gandhi,the Congress chief, had sent an angry letter to Home Minister , Sushil Kumar Shinde and CM Sheila Dikshit.Sushil Shinde had called up the police head to ask for immediate action. The nation is furious,the opposition is busy blaming the govt and the govt is grilling the police.Out of the six accused,five are already caught.Some serious action is taking place while the victim continues to fight with death.
Thats how it happens in India.Everyone wakes up only after something goes real wrong and makes sure they go to sleep the moment the accused are put to task,often even before that. Why rapes and assaults have become a trend? Why the nation and the administration not bothered coming up with permanent solutions ?Why there are no amendments in law related to rapes and molestation? Why there are no extra security given by cops to protect the physically weak(children,women,senior citizens)? The point is,we talk case specific and forget the case sooner than later and then wait for another incident to shock us up. Is it not time we take measures which would eradicate even the thought of rape,molestation and assault? Be it strict laws like capital punishment, nothing less or free and mandatory spiritual,self-defense and awareness classes sponsored by govt and NGOs,or both,whatever it be but India has to eradicate rapes,assault and molestation once and for all. All he brought was list of controversies , Pakistan’s Home Minister, Rehman Malik,where he compared 26/11 terror attacks to Babari Mosque demolition,stated that Abu Jindal was an Indian Agent and to top it denied enough proof from Indian government to hold ,26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed ,guilty! To add on,he has left Indian Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde,humiliated with opposition asking why Shinde did not answer back when Malik was comparing 26/11 and Babari Mosque demolition and the media highlighting Shinde referring,Hafiz Saeed as ‘Shri’ and ‘Mr’ in the parliament. The question remains , what was the need of inviting Rehman Malik who has been popular for controversial statements and has delayed action against Pakistanis involved in 26/11 terror attacks and all the more when Pakistan is expecting a change of governance? Almost 19 states had to face the worst nightmare of no electricity for several hours with about 300 trains hit by the major grid failure ! The Power Minister ,Sushil Kumar Shinde , had somethings to be proud about , one he compared India to America where he claimed it takes upto four hours in similar cases while they took lesser time and astonishingly enough he was promoted as the Home Minister after P Chidambaram has been appointed as the Finance Minister! All this happened yesterday, on Tuesday, when about 600 million Indians from north and north-east India were experiencing major load-shedding bringing normal life to a stand-still. Even on Monday, a day before, northern states suffered for several hours due to grid failure and even Delhi , the capital of the country was not spared !
Considered close to the Gandhi family,the media anticipates this as a major reason of he being handed over the Home Ministry! He has,anyways, thanked Prime Minister,Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi for his promotion. 😀 Well, now that Mr. Shinde has been promoted as the Union Home Minister for his ‘greatest achievements’ of creating history, all we can do is pray for nation’s well-being and pray his Ministry does not make it to the Headlines due to wrong reasons ! 😉
