Akhilesh run SP govt has been severely criticized by the IAS body and retired bureaucrats over suspension of IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, who had cracked down on the sand mafia in Greater Noida. The opposition parties accused Akhilesh Govt of favouring the sand mafias. They claimed the IAS officer was targeted because she red-flagged illegal sand mining being promoted in the area.
The Samajwadi Party has demanded Election Commission to ban BJP’s poster mentioning Modi’s statement in public – “I am a Hindu Nationalist” .About 50 posters showing Modi’s statement in public-“I am a Hindu Nationalist” has been displayed in Mumbai.Abu Azmi senior leader of SP has asked EC to ban these posters and has mentioned his reasons out there in his letter.
Well, nothing much to say – Wish to know what is wrong with being a Hindu Nationalist ?? Big Deal! I am no hardcore NaMo fan but come on .. ain’t this too much? If this statement is being non-secular then better Indians be asked not to follow any God in the land and no caste,no state, no other language other than Hindi . That would be ONE !! The secular! Only then this statement of Modi would have sounded falling out of place.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav has proposed that MLAs who do not have a car of their own should be allowed to buy a car within Rs 20 lakhs, using state funds, for survey work in their constituencies. After the 5 year term the car could be returned to the government or be bought by the MLA at a depreciated value. Most of the MLAs were happy the way they are ! Some expressed ideas of spending the money on development work of their constituencies rather than buying cars out of taxpayer’s money.
Well, it sounds astonishing that our politicians are bothered about the public and not themselves and that too in a state like Uttar Pradesh where the last Chief Minister,Mayawati, had spent lakhs and crores of state-fund to build her own and party symbol’s(elephant) monuments ,all over the state capital! 🙂
