Water Precious Water !
Such is the scarcity of drinkable water ? About half of Yamuna River is dead and contaminated badly ? Ground Water is getting exhausted and contaminated by factories to save expenses ? Governments, as usual, are busy saving or procuring seats on state and centre level and we are, as usual, habituated of not thinking beyond problems of or own lives. Factory and sewage wastes are getting dumped in the same river (without being properly processed) which we consider holy and we are speechless about it because we ourselves are the participant of the crime in someway or the other, busy blaming our governments. The level of risk and scarcity of pure water is slowly rising and before we realize , may be , in another decade or two, we may pay equal price for petrol and water, as rightly pointed out By Aamir Khan on Satyamev Jayate’s 12th show. It was about drinkable water – the scarcity of it in our country, the wastage and destruction of pure water resources and also about harvesting rain water ! This was, as usual, another very informative and educating episode, like all other previous episodes of Satyamev Jayate !
