Maharashtra and Haryana assembly polls begin
The Modi wave which created history of one party rule in India after 3 decades is put on test in Haryana and Maharashtra assembly polls, starting today. PM Modi himself addressed rallies in Haryana and Maharashtra to attract voters for state elections.
Will the Chautalas and Hoodas be able to save their voters from the hawk-eyed Modi is a question which is going to be answered soon.
In Maharashtra, all the major parties are fighting on their own after the alliance between NCP & Congress and BJP & Shiv Sena collapsed in the recent past. MNS is also expected to put a strong contest and cut marathi manus votes. And to add to the worries of the self-proclaimed secular parties looking to attract Muslim votes, there is MIM which has launched itself in Maharashtra this time. With their successful and proven pro-Muslim vote attracting strategies amalgamated with hate-speeches, they may hurt the vote-bank of parties like NCP, Congress and MNS.
After Shobhaa De Nitesh Rane slams Gujaratis in Mumbai
Narayan Rane’s son Nitesh Rane seems to be inspired by the regional parties of Maharashtra although they are in Congress, the secular party 😉 . He had previously attacked Shobhaa De’s satirical tweet and had said Shovaa De dare come and say Mumbai be a separate state than Maharashtra and she will not be left with any ‘shobha’ forever. And now he has a problem with Gujaratis of Mumbai who support Narendra Modi and the vegetarian societies they have. 😀 He asked ‘ Gujjus’ supporting Modi go back to Gujarat. 😀

Green Signal to Chennai Express after Raj meets Rohit Shetty
MNS Chitrapat Sena (Film Wing) threatened to disrupt and stop release of Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express,on August 8, as it reportedly attempted to dislodge ongoing popular Marathi movie Duniyadari from single-screen cinemas in the state. MNS was assured that no single screen cinema halls or multiplexes are going to give more importance to Chennnai Express by changing the timing of the Marathi film, by Rohit Shetty and then given the green signal by Raj Thackeray. 😀 Beat this !! Other parties should learn from MNS how to keep in news.
MNS corporator slaps 65 year-old contractor repeatedly.
A senior citizen private contractor was repeatedly slapped by a MNS corporator ,Nitin Nikam, publicly.He was hit for delays in water pipeline repair and the party argued that the private contractors do no do their work properly despite taking public money.Mr Nikam argued that the act of slapping was the ‘MNS way’ to explain things when people do not listen to talks! The party has not seeked any apology for the public display of ‘MNS way’by its corporator. No one opposed the act be other political parties or the police or govt !
Well,who dares against MNS or Shiv Sena in Mumbai ? Hope not the MNS style of explaining get more popular than Gangnam Style of dancing. 🙂
MNS opposes Sena proposal of Balasaheb’s Memorial at Shivaji Park!
Quite contrary to the expectation of MNS and Shiv Sena joining hands after Bal Thackeray, the Shiv Sena Chief expired, last week, the Raj Thackeray led, MNS, has opposed Balasaheb’s Memorial at the Shivaji Park and has instead proposed Indu Mill for the Memorial.This has brought both the parties into tussle mode again and assuring the world that Late Bal Thackeray’s efforts to unite his son, Uddhav Thackeray and nephew,Raj Thackeray, has failed ultimately.
Balasaheb is no more…..who is his better successor?
Bal Thackery the controversial yet popular Maratha Leader has left a huge baggage of his popularity and fan following after his demise which can still play a prominent role in Maharashtra politics ! Its a human tendency to look upon for a replacement, equally competent,of such mass leaders.Often,obvious choice is any immediate blood-relation of such crowd puller!
Uddhav Thackeray, son of Balasaheb was undoubtedly a perfect son but is he a perfect successor to the throne of Bal Thackeray,is a question which arose since the popularity of Balasaheb’s nephew Raj Thackeray who was considered far more competent than Uddhav and quit the Shiv Sena to form his own political party , MNS, when he understood his role would remain limited in the Sena.
He proved his worth by taking his party head strong against Shiv Sena within 6 years and it was only this year,Bal Thackeray had managed to bring Raj close to Sena to support eachother’s party rather than behaving rivals.
Sena to join MNS hands for Nanded Municipal Corporation Polls
After remaining a major ‘Marathi Manus vote’ shifting political party for Shiv Sena for almost 6 years, the MNS is joining hands with Shiv Sena for Nanded Municipal Corporation Elections . This is an expected indication that both the parties may soon be seen joining hands for bigger state-level electoral contests ! While MNS had stood up as a major ‘Sena Vote Bank’ diverting party, it was helping NCP and Congress to strengthen their hands, taking advantage of MNS and Sena conflicts, over ‘Marathi Manus Vote-Bank’.
Heavy rains in Mumbai!
While country’s financial capital-Mumbai, has slowed down its pace due to heavy rains continuing for over a day, now and making people’s life miserable with water-logging on rail-tracks and roads and flood-like atmosphere,just a thought, on how may Raj Thackeray, the MNS Supremo , may utilize heavy rains for his publicity. And how may Shiv Sena, which had previously backed Raj Thackeray on his anti-Bihari speeches, helplessly support Raj in his publicity stunt. 🙂
