Bihar CM, Nitish Kumar announced the ban of liquor from the state but in April 2016. One of major committments by the Nitish Kumar was making Bihar a dry state after some women protested in front of Nitish Kumar . Why not an immediate ban ? Is it the heavy revenues which the govt collects from taxes on liquor sale or just to ensure their stand against the BJP party which has been making news for banning “beef” in Maharashtra and J&K ?
Mulayam Singh Yadav , the Supremo of SP has pulled out from the “grand alliance” of Janata Parivar ahead of Bihar Elections. Reportedly, SP was offered 5 seats to contest in the elections and that became a reason of Mulayam’s stepping back. The party has decided to contest all on its own.
While, SP is not a grand player in Bihar politics but contesting alone would favour BJP as the Nitish-Lalu alliance may suffer vote-cuts. BJP claimed that comparatively low turn out in Swabhiman Rally called by Janata Parivar has been a reason why SP preferred stepping back. Some room for relief and may be laughter for BJP ??
Nine months since Nitish Kumar stepped down as Bihar CM and was replaced by Jitan Ram Manjhi, Nitish Kumar plans to return as CM of the state. Although, Manjhi has remained unwilling to leave the CM’s post, his re-entry as Chief Minister was endorsed today by the law-makers from his party.
To curb down the emerging power of BJP and Modi, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and Lalu Prasad Yadav have joined hands and are having talks to merge up as ‘Janata Parivar’ which may include the three and HP Deve Gowda.
It would be interesting to see if this group of opportunist politicians will actually get any opportunity and scope to unite for a common interest.
Former Union Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal of congress who lost to MM Joshi of BJP this General Elections, said Congress will take to the streets if NDA govt does not bring down inflation in next 3 months as promised in BJP’s manifesto.
Did the BJP really commit to bring down inflation in 3 months which the Congress led UPA govt could not bring down throughout its second tenure , is a matter of inspection. However,is the Congress left to do anything else other than taking to the streets ? The party has reduced to 44 seats falling short of even standing as a main opposition party.

By the way, Digvijaya Singh of Congress who was always heard accusing and addressing Modi with disrespect pre-election results has changed the way he addresses Modi now . 😉 Looks like Digvijaya ji has got the message loud . Quite loud!!! 😀
And Nitish Kumar of JD(u) who left the alliance of NDA,last year,and was heard criticizing Modi has resigned as the CM of Bihar. This step has been taken because few MLAs of his party decided to join BJP after a shameful loss of seats in the state. To save the party from splitting Nitish Kumar has decided to sacrifice his seat.
That is the statement of Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar who does not believe in Online Political Campaigning at all. Was this statement directed at net-savvy , always tweeting , Gujarat’s CM Narendra Modi ? 😀
The former Chief Minister of Bihar , Lalu Prasad Yadav performed a two-hour-long ‘tantra’ puja at the Pagla Baba Ashram near Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh. Current CM , Nitish Kumar , was smelling conspiracy in Mid-Day Meal tragedy which killed 23 kids due to contaminated food at school. Any connections ? 😀 Interestingly,this tantra puja has been performed after the Supreme Court agreed to transfer the multi-crore fodder scam case to another judge, offering a greater relief to Lalu Yadav , as he is the prime accused in the scam. The judge who was currently handling his case is a relative of a minister in the Nitish Kumar and hence it was argued that decisions may be partial.
Its all in the game called politics.After breaking up all ties of 17 long years with NDA ,Nitish Kumar and his JD(U) team has received praises from our Prime Minister,Manmohan Singh and has been awarded with an imaginary ‘secular leader’ title,all of a sudden. In response,Nitish Kumar,Chief Minister,Bihar said he is at ‘peace of mind’ being termed a secular leader by the PM himself.

All in all, Nitish Kumar has managed to drop himself and his party in a secular land 😀 . How safe , only 2014 knows it better!! 🙂

Possibility of a Third Front has been ignited by Nitish Kumar,CM,Bihar who after seeing Modi getting an upper edge in the NDA has discussed with CMs of Bengal and Orissa too. Akhilesh , CM , Utter Pradesh has also indicated a possibility of Third Front.Even in the recent past,after SP won Uttar Pradesh Elections,talks of a Third Front were floated by Mulayam Singh, the SP Supremo.
In the past none of the Third Front Governments could complete 5 years term as too many cook spoil the dish 😀 . All the aspiring CMs for the PM post may join hands but a group with all the bosses in the Team splits faster than thought about.

After JD(U) its Shiv Sena which wants BJP to declare the NDA candidate for Prime Minister’s job ! While Sena has no complains with Modi and 2002 riots where they say that none could avoid those riots , it wants Sushma Swaraj to be the candidate and not Narendra Modi (sounds like the present Sena supremo is in a dilemma) !! 😉
All in all, looks like BJP is in a bigger fix! Nitish Kumar, the Bihar CM wants a secular candidate (without naming himself 😀 )and prefers supporting L.K.Advani as the candidate (whose involvement in Ayodhya Movement has been pardoned by Nitish, I suppose 🙂 ) while Sena declared its choice already.
Lets see if the NaMo mantra will cross the major barriers of objecting allies or not !! 🙂
