Mayawati , the former CM of UP,more known for being garlanded with real currency notes , disproportionate wealth cases(which the Supreme Court dismissed recently) and for using state’s money to make memorial parks and statues of Dalit leaders, saints, elephants(her political party’s symbol)  and amazingly her own statues as well, had asked her supporters to keep calm when the incident occurred !

Supreme Court dismisses dis appropriate assets and corruption case against Mayawati ?

The judges said that the CBI was not justified in filing the case against Mayawati and pointed the case as illegal and without jurisdiction. In 2002, the Supreme Court had ordered the CBI to investigate the Taj Corridor case where she was accused of swindling money meant for development of Taj and surrounding areas and later cancelled on environmental grounds. While the CBI filed a case accusing her of misusing her post as CM for monetary gain, the Income Tax department ruled in her favour and the Delhi High Court too! Mayawati’s declared assets in 2003 Rs 1 crore which increased to 50 crores in 2007 and 200 crores in 2012. Mayawati expressed the money has been donated to her by workers of her party!

Mayawati’s Press Conference After Resigning from CM’s Post !

BJP, Congress and Media to be blamed for BSP defeat in Uttar Pradesh ?

Kumari Mayawati, now the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh , in her Press Conference , after resignation declared her defeat BJP and Congress as major reason of her party’s defeat as they helped polarisation of Muslim Vote Bank, as per her, which benefited the Samajwadi Party. Also she expressed that the Muslim voters were scared that BJP may gain power in the state hence they supported SP.

Well, BJP has been an under-dog in Uttar Pradesh and this is no hidden fact from the nation , forget about the state. The most shocking part has been that rather than blaming her own governance where scams got exposed and corrupt ministers were getting caught and to top it key people getting murdered while the enquiry kept deepening, she held other parties responsible for her defeat. The useless expense of multi-crores on Park and Statues seemed all right to her, guess ! As if people do not count on them. She also praised her government’s work comparing the condition in which BSP had taken charge of administration in 2007 and also assured media that soon people of the state would be fed up with SP which over-threw them with a massive majority win. She did not stop there and also calmly blamed the Media for hyping issues in favour of BJP and Congress and warned the media that soon voters would feel cheated by media for reporting in favour of Congress and BJP. She did not blame herself for stopping to held Janata Darbars which she used to during the initial days. She did not blame herself for not even meeting the officers in te administration for months.

Who will make Government in UP ? Counting Begins!

Will it be SP+Congress ?

So far Mulayam Singh’s Samajwadi Party, guided by son Akhilesh Yadav is heading towards lead over all other parties. As expected Bahujan Samaj Party of Mayawati seems to be getting out of power and Samajwadi Party seems to be making the government. In the worst case with the association of Congress, as BJP has declared they would not support either the SP or the BSP. 202 out of 403 seats would be the number of Majority which any party or a group of parties would need to form a government. SP seems to be getting over 150 plus seats so far and it might have to deal with Congress to cover up the gap as BJP would not support them and BSP is the major opponent with which SP itself would not be joining hands.

Who Will Win In Uttar Pradesh ?

Anticipations of SP winning with majority and probable alliance opportunities amongst the Big Parties to form government has been flooding news channels and sites. It is a noticeable fact that all the major parties have been blaming each other for something or the other , in their respective speeches during campaigning. Now it would be noteworthy if parties join hands to form government, as clear win for any party seems still doubtful, so far! Well, no matter whosoever wins , all the major parties including Congress,BJP,SP and BSP have got opportunities in the past and none left the opportunities to dishearten the state.

Votes in Uttar Pradesh are still divided on the basis of caste and religion and regardless the leaders be corrupt or inefficient they convince their voters either by blaming Central Government or by declaring corruption charges as conspiracy against them. It is not even the fault of voters, most of whom live in rural areas and are below or at par with poverty line. Literacy percent is still low and exposure to the outer world is very limited. In Uttar Pradesh, the major agenda should be development of the under-grown state and even the voters should think of benefits of the State as a whole and not just a community.

Uttar Pradesh Elections – Haunting Nights For Political Parties!

Haunting Dreams prior to Elections

Satish Chandra Mishra , the BSP(Bahujan Samaj Party) National General Secretary in his public speeches, has been heard, taunting at Rahul Gandhi that  BSP symbol ‘Elephant’ haunts Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in his dreams.

With the trending support for Samajwadi Partyin Uttar Pradesh, led by Mulayam Singh Yadav, it might not be wrong to think if SP symbol, ‘Cycle’ may be haunting  BSP supremo and Satish Mishra .

Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing series of non-stop rallies and public – meetings from all parties acussing opponents and praising their respective parties. It is the Uttar Pradesh public which would decide fate of the parties. Hopfully, they select the right political party as it would effect the fate of nation as well.

UP Elections-Season of Promises

As the dates of U.P. elections are nearing by , the more is louding up the “Trumpets of the Elephants”(BSP), “the Rings of the Cycle Bells”(SP),”the Claps of the Hands”(Congress) and the Beauty and “Incense of the Lotus flower”(BJP).

Reminders of developments (so what ? if just the parks and the statues ) by the ruling party is getting louder.

Other contesting parties also recall the surprise visits , they (their leader) made by suddenly barging into farmers house(of course with the media) for dinner and pretending to be disghusted with the present conditions of  the farmers( as if , if they win, will give bungalows to the farmers ).

And some would not talk what they did and what others did not but directly come to the point that if they win the elections, what gifts can the citizens expect.

The embarassing fact about Political Elections in our country  is, we are made to choose between the Bad, Worse and the Worst and once we select best of the lott, it is the Bad Party which turns Worst and the cycle goes on!
