2014 Indian Political Kabaddi
For those who may not be aware of Kabaddi,it is one of the ethnic and old games played in India and neighbouring countries, the name of which originates from Tamil word- ‘ Kai-pidi’ meaning ‘Hold Hands’ .
The 2014 General Elections,in a nutshell,is Modi vs All.From small state level parties to big national level , all seem to be stopping this one man from being the Prime Minister of India 2014. Few are also from within his team. Others are maintaining silence to see the results before reacting and taking decisions.
After all, there are many silent contenders who wish to get the top job,few are known to all and few are waiting for the right opportunity. Almost all the parties are playing to stop Modi , be it newly formed AAP or formed since pre-Independence, Congress.
Regardless of the results of 2014 General Elections,Modi has surely emerged as the only extraordinary Indian politician for who citizens of the nation seem to have divided into two groups – Pro-Modi and Anti-Modi.
Manmohan Singh opposes freeing of killers of Rajiv Gandhi

Learn it from Manmohan Singh,Mr Kejriwal?
Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde gave an advice for Arvind Kejriwal , the new Chief Minister of Delhi,on how to run a coalition government. He sited example of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the matter and asked Kejriwal to learn from Dr Singh how to run a government in coalition. The Congress has given support to AAP with its eight seats from outside to help run AAP’s government in Delhi.Although AAP is supported by Congress ,it is not refraining from making statements against Congress and BJP.
Is that the way coalition govt work? Isn’t coalition govt an unsaid understanding between parties where the supporting party should be kept happy at any cost ? 😀 What better could have been an example of how to run a coalition govt than our UPAII govt? 😉
Dr Manmohan Singh World's most influential Sikh
Our PM Dr.Manmohan Singh ranked first in the list of world’s most powerful, influential and contemporary Sikh, as per the first edition of the annual ‘Sikh 100’ published in London.
Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission,Montek Singh Ahluwalia stood good 69.
Most of us will agree on that ranking of Dr Singh. After all, he holds the Prime Minister’s chair of World’s largest democracy and about to complete 10 years as a PM and is not even burdened with the responsibilities of the office. 😉
When Modi and Manmohan hit out at eachother!
Prime Minister,Dr Singh and Gujarat Chief Minister,Narendra Modi, shared stage in Ahmedabad while inaugurating the renovated Museum of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Both the leaders praised Sardar Patel for his contribution as a patriotic politician of his times and took the opportunity to hit out at eachother as well.Modi said Sardar Patel deserved to be the first Prime Minister of the nation and had he been the PM the fortune of the country would have been different.Manmohan Singh countered Modi by stating Sarder Patel was a secular man and that he and Nehru(the first Indian PM) had deep mutual respect.
"Didn't become PM to redraw boundaries"-PM Singh
As per the Minister of External Affairs,Salman Khurshid, the Indian Prime Minister,Dr Manmohan Singh had given a very straight forward and crisp answer to Pakistani Prime Minister,Nawaz Sharif on the Kashmir issue when both the PMs had met in New York alongside UN General Assembly. According to Khurshid,Dr Singh declared he did not become the PM of India to re-draw boundaries,to Nawaz Sharif.
Guess this statement was limited to re-drawing International Boundaries only because it is the same Dr Singh led UPA Govt which has recently re-drawn boundaries of a state once called Andhra Pradesh and given birth to new states of Telangana and Seemandhra attracting criticisms and praises, simultaneously.

Declaring Political Gurus
Rahul Gandhi said he has two political gurus-one is his mother Sonia Gandhi and the second is the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Looks like Rahul ji is doing a bit of damage control after he offended Dr Singh with his aggressive “complete nonsense” statement addressing the Ordinance on convicted leaders promoted by the PM and the govt, previously.
Another Cartoon on Rahul Gandhi’s political gurus and his training. 🙂
