Chinese entering India

Face-Off between Indian and Chinese army continues

Face-offs between patrol parties of Indian and Chinese armies in Ladakh continue after the Chinese troops continue to stop Indian Army from patrolling posts in the sector along the border which is well within India’s territory. Although both the armies maintain that these confrontations take place because both the troops have their own perceptions of borders.

Mountain Strike Corps to counter Chinese attacks

The government has cleared the creation of a Mountain Strike Corps costing about Rs 640000 crores specifically aimed at counter-attacking China, if required. Although this is a good move but Chinese have already developed infrastructure near borders like roads and soon they will be connected through railways. This simply means they can get their troops added up lot faster than India. India after remaining laid back for years has initiated the move but it would take about 7 long years to build an infrastructure capable to counter-answer Chinese attacks. There are a number of other major challenges to build roads near borders.Meanwhile,China may call this Indian act as provocative and may attack.
Well,India has been ignoring Chinese invasion and provocation since decades.China has always been able to sustain pressure on India , be it on matters related to South China Sea,Tibet or border attacks. Interestingly, China is friendly to countries like Pakistan , Sri Lanka and Myanmar. Point is, how long will China continue to claim Indian land as its-They want whole of Arunachal Pradesh and claim lot more areas of other states too.
Who wants war but if forced India is bound to lose land and lives. 🙁    The question is – what have been the several Govts of India doing since 65 plus years ? Why our administrators never took stern decisions against Chinese even after losing a war and lot of land against them in the past ?

'You Are in Chinese Territory!'

With even the brigadier level talks failing and Chinese continue to reinforce the camps they built inside 19 kms in Indian Territory and our dear government still discussing available options to handle the issue, looks like ours is a weakest country of all. Despite this invasion , India plans to continue with the joint-military exercises scheduled in October, this year, with Chinese troops  The freshly occupied space now has banner saying-YOU ARE IN CHINESE TERRITORY!
Pakistan kills Sarabjit Singh and Indian Govt keeps silent.Chinese enter and capture Indian land and India remains silent.Bombs blast at frequent intervals , India speaks nothing. Rapes become Indian way of  life, Indian government stares helplessly.Government and private level Scams are synonymous to our country’s name and still India prefers silence.
Peaceful ??
How long ??
Let the neighbours do whatever they wish to ?
Will someone question our administrators .. Whats going On ?

China enters Ladakh

Chinese troops are about 10 kms inside Ladakh and have made a remote camp as well. Even Chinese helicopters entered Indian territory.India continues to say it hopes to resolve issues with China peacefully !
Repeated entry inside Indian territory by Chinese has become a normal news , may be for us and the government too. So let them enter and take up all our country and we will see when we can schedule a meeting with their officials to solve the issue peacefully.
What is the Government upto , only they know the best . Feels so helpless to realize someone is capturing our country slowly since decades and claims our part of land as theirs and we let them do so ? The government prefers to remain silent on the issue as it prefers on any other topics . The opposition is helplessly accusing as they always do and all goes to deaf ears. We the Mangoes of India, we are busy watching IPL,or at the most discussing Chinese invasions over office coffee breaks , office gossips and over a peg or two. Rural mangoes probably may not even know about the news.Looks like no one is bothered.
If  the East India Company can what is the harm if China ends up ruling us or even taking away half our country ? Who cares !! In India nobody cares .. capture a 5 year old girl or parts of country nobody cares !!

China repairs highway to disputed Aksai Chin ?

With repairs of key highways including the one running through Aksai Chin , an Indian territory controlled by China and a plan of railway line the work of which would start by 2017,the threat on India has increase further. The improved highways and railway connects would enable China to transport large number of troops and equipment to Indian border. The Indian Army has responded by moving observation units and patrols closer to the Line of Actual Control.

China which claims whole of Arunachal Pradesh state of  India,  has been noticed intruding on the state borders, in the recent past and constructing roads on Indian sides as well.

None of the Governments of India, so far, have clearly been able to discuss boundary matters with China and China on the other hand, has been utilizing the opportunity to penetrate through north-eastern borders! Is India waiting for another attack and lose like that of Aksai Chin ? Are we so weak that we cannot clearly ask China to mind its own business and not claim Indian states,as  its own ?

Chinese Entering Indian Territory !

Who Dares  To Question The Chinese ?

At frequent intervals, the Chinese Army has been noticed  penetrating,  at least 1.5 kms – 7km, inside the Indian Territory including areas of  Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and  Ladakh(J&K).

Secret note to the Minister Of External Affairs indicates , People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has intruded as many as 50 times , so far, from July till September, this year, into Indian Territory.
On Sep9’11, Chinese PLA vehicles were seen erecting some antennas 4.5 km deep inside the Indian territory of  Tunjun La area .

Chinese signs and drink cans, were noticed on Sep10’11, 4 km deep inside Indian territory,in the Demchok area of the boundary.

On August 15’11,  44Chinese PLA soldiers were noticed setting up tents and shelters 3kms, inside the Indian territory in the Asaphila area of Arunachal Pradesh.

On August 23rd’11,  2 Chinese choppers landed in Barahoti plains in Uttarakhand. Chinese soldiers got down  and destroyed about 16-17 Indian positions and defenses. They drew an inscription in Mandarin and inscribed a star on the rock.

On August 25’11,  some  PLA personnel were seen on horseback carrying weapons  moving through Barahoti.

Chinese intruded in Ladakh on August 25 ‘ 2011 – Two Chinese helicopters entered Indian territory on the morning of August 25 in the Chumar area of Nyoma, destroyed 17 unused Indian bunkers and painted rocks with the red star insignia of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Indian bunkers were dismantled  and Chinese cigarette packets were thrown around to mark Chinese presence.
The Indian government and the armed or the air forces made no specific comments on the matter of Chinese incursions into Indian territory in Ladakh. The locals are upset with the government which seems helpless on such incidents.

In Uttarakhand, shepherds have many a times noticed strangers in the area who neither understand their language nor make their intentions clear. China has built new roads across the border that made such intrusions easier. The intruders have been crossing the line of control in newer places both in uniforms and in civilian dresses.

The hilly state of Arunachal Pradesh shares a 1,030-km unfenced border with China. The McMahon Line, an imaginary border now known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC), separates the Sino-Indian border along Arunachal Pradesh. The state government of Arunachal Pradesh has from time to time been warning the Centre about the Chinese incursions.Indian intelligence officials in 2007 reported Chinese-built mule tracks near the Kayela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh’s Dibang Valley district, bordering China’s Tibet region.

The Indo-China border dispute

The border dispute with China was inherited by India from the British colonial rulers, who hosted a 1914 conference with the Tibetan and Chinese governments that set the border in what is now Arunachal Pradesh. China  never valued  the 1914 boundary known as the McMahon Line.

China claims 90,000 sq. km. — nearly all of Arunachal Pradesh from India while the Indian Government accuses China of occupying 8,000 sq. km of Jammu and Kashmir.

Incidents in the Past

  • The road construction work in the Demchok area was stopped by Chinese Army in 2009, on gun point.
  • In October 2010, The work on the development project under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA), aiming at generating employment for locals in the Demchok area was also stopped after Chinese army threatened the workers.

Interestingly, India and China have signed two  agreements – the Peace and Tranquillity Agreement in 1993 and the Confidence- Building Measures Agreement in 1996.

While these incidents are clearly alarming and question the intentions of Chinese army, who do we seek answers from, as concerned Indians ? Hopefully, not the Chinese Government !
