Cartoonist or Terrorist ?

In the recent times, some politicians and political parties have taken Cartoons very seriously. Instead of getting the message from them they are dragging the cartoonists to the court of law.

Politicians somehow seem to be reacting impatiently towards criticisms and while  most of the parties talk about democracy and secularism , they seem to be hating democratic rights of  other citizens.

The fact is , columnists ,journalists and even cartoonists working under the banner of big media houses can never be questioned but if it is a commoner (like in case of Mamata Banerjee cartoon row and Aseem Trivedi who supports Anna’s India Against Corruption Movement)the administration leaves no stones un-turned to teach the commoner a lesson for lifetime.

Suddenly, everyone has a problem with cartoons and cartoonists. But why ? There are hundreds of aggressive (and factual) articles on newspapers everyday condemning , criticizing and/or attacking the administration and tens of live chat-shows accusing and debating on current political issues. Why are they not questioned if cartoons and cartoonists are ?

In yet another, defaming act inside the Parliament MP of SP , Naresh Aggarwal and MP of BSP ,Avtar Singh Karimpuri , ended up physically assaulting eachother , over their fight for passing SC/ST quota bill. 🙂

They our leaders , representing us on national and global level, who do not even realize when they frequently act like school kids in the House, they are captured in the national television. If passing and opposing of  Bills in Parliament would depend on muscle power, who knows ,soon , these parties would start looking for wrestlers & body-builders as MPs representing their respective political parties. 😉

Heavy rains in Mumbai!

While country’s financial capital-Mumbai, has slowed down its pace due to heavy rains continuing for over a day, now and making people’s life miserable with water-logging on rail-tracks and roads and flood-like atmosphere, just a thought, on how may Raj Thackeray, the MNS Supremo , may utilize heavy rains for his publicity. And how may Shiv Sena, which had previously backed Raj Thackeray on his anti-Bihari speeches, helplessly support Raj in his publicity stunt. 🙂

Raj following Sena footsteps?

Raj Thackeray, the MNS supremo who had split from Shiv Sena about 6 years back and formed his own party, seems to be making news whenever, he wishes to.All he has to do is dare the govt of Maharashtra or dare the Biharis. Although this time he dared the Hindi News Channels and threatened to ban them in Maharashtra. While , the learned seem content addressing Raj as publicity hungry and his aggressive and communal speeches as the source of his publicity, there is no denying that he is slowly cutting the roots and the impact of  the mother party – Shiv Sena. He has been gathering attention by targeting Biharis and spreading hate movements against them while Sena Supremo , Bal Thackeray , had targeted the Tamils staying in Mumbai ,some decades back. Raj’s political party is perfect replica of Shiv Sena and even his strategies are all copied from Shiv Sena. All is working well for him , at present, as he has been successful to divert the ‘Marathi Manus’ vote-bank of  Shiv Sena towards himself , thereby weakening the Shiv Sena impact with every passing day. Who knows , coming soon, the nation may experience Raj Thackeray ,even copying Bal Thackeray’s dress-code to become the ultimate replacement for Shiv Sena. 🙂

Dilemma of Indian Voters !

The biggest issue in Indian politics is that we are always made to choose between the worse and the worst. Almost all political parties misuse their position and power once they get enough votes and support (with all hopes) to form a state or national level govt. If our political parties were to be ranked for scams and corruption, they would certainly top the list throughout the world. We are a country mismanaged almost since independence, looted and re-looted by our administrators and today we are dying out of options when it comes to selecting the right political party to govern the country for betterment.

Vinod Rai is politically ambitious-Digvijay Singh

Digvijay Singh, who has termed Baba Ramdev a ‘thug'(cheat),Anna Hazare and his movement politically motivated and went to the extent of criticizing Mamata Banerjee (and was humiliated by his own party for criticizing Mamata), has picked up a new war against CAG chief ,Vinod Rai. He has termed him politically ambitious after the CAG report has shaken the clear-image of the Prime Minister , Manmohan Singh.

Looks like he is being given unofficial right by the Govt to counter-accuse anyone and everyone who dares against his party. 😀
