Narendra Modi, the Gujarat Chief Minister, who is being accused of playing a major negative role(accused of promoting violence against minorities) in the 2002 riots of Gujarat , is looking for a makeover of his image. He has suggested several amendments in law, right from electoral laws (to boycott candidates with records of communal violence)to laws of punishment for people spreading and involving in communal violence ! How decent ! 🙂
Vijay Darda, the Congress MP, has been facing severe criticism and media attention since he praised Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi , in a religious function attended by Mr Modi and Baba Ramdev along with Mr Darda. He addressed Modi as the lion of Gujarat and a religious saint. While the media and even Modi noticed his words and also commented that he is worried about how Congress is going to react listening to this statement from its own MP praising Modi !
As expected , once the news spread like wild-fire Mr Darda was seen busy explaining and justifying his statement for Modi and that he never referred Modi as a religious saint. He gave a funny reasoning, that addressing Modi as a lion was to criticize his involvement in 2002 riots of Gujarat and also to indicate BJP (and RSS) are held hostage by Modi in Gujarat(the political parties he belongs to).
No matter whatever points of sarcasm he may come up with , it is clear that he was actually praising Modi by addressing him as the king of Gujarat as that is what we mean when we use lion and tiger words for an individual!Funny is, all political parties are so scared of losing their reputation (which either ways none have) and their vote bank that they end up mocking themselves by defending or criticizing such small incidents !
Falling Indian economy, rising inflation, rise in property costs and bank loan rates, regular price hike in petrol, vegetables and other dailies…..earning, the only ray of hope, to defeat these fast runners seems to be giving up in front of them. 😉
At two different places in Uttar Pradesh , Dr B R Ambedkar, the Dalit Icon’s 3 statues were vandalized by miscreants but new statues were installed at the earliest by the state administration to avoid any controversy !
Well, if this continues , SP government may end up spending more in replacing statues , than what Mayawati government had spent on the making of statues of herself , dalit icons and her party symbol ! 😉
Ram Gopal yadav,General Secretary of Samajwadi Party declared Shahid Siddiqui was not a part of the party and that he left the party long back to join Lok Dal and appealed Media not to mistaken him as part of SP ! All this happened after he took interview of Narendra Modi , Gujarat Chief Minister, for a Urdu Newspaper , as a journalist(Siddiqui is a journalist as well) where Modi claimed if he be termed guilty in the Gujarat riots of 2002 , he would not mind being hanged. Anticipating the interview might indicate probable upcoming closeness between SP and BJP, the party preferred to clarify that Siddiqui was in no way associated with the Samajwadi Party ! After all, how can SP risk the minority vote bank ? Had the political parties been more bothered to impress voters with their work rather than connecting to their religious and caste related sentiments , shape of Indian economy and overall progress would have been completely different ! Anyways, is their anything wrong in performing the job of a journalist as a member of a certain political party and interviewing someone from the opponent party ?
