Mohammad Azharuddin,former Indian Captain was banned for life in 2000 for match-fixing and hence is out of list of BCCI’s one-time payment scheme. With Kapil Dev, the former Indian captain who enabled India win the first World Cup in 1983 , was also removed out of the list as he refused accept the amnesty offered by BCCI following his involvement in now-defunct Indian Cricket League which had nothing to do with BCCI.Kirti Azad who held protests at Feroze Shah Kotla ground against alleged financial irregularities in BCCI supported IPL(Indian Premiere League) is also excluded out of the list.
Former Indian Captain and presently a Congress MP, Azharuddin, has been issued non-bailable warrant by a Delhi court because of failing to appear in the court due to his busy schedule. He has been keeping busy campaigning for his party in Uttar Pradesh.An exemption application submitted was rejected by the Court.
Sanjay Solanki, the complainant, 2 cheques issued by Azhar each of Rs 1.5 crore were dishonoured forcing him to move to court.
