Parliament Monsoon Session begins

With the beginning of the Monsoon Session of Parliament the opposition has a lot to target the BJP govt . The Congress is getting support from all other opposition parties to attack the govt in the parliament. Hot matters include Lalitgate where key BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje are held responsible to help Lalit Modi ( accused for IPL scam and money laundering ) leave the nation and the Vyapam Scam for which the opposition target is MP CM Shivraj Chauhan.

Mufti praises Pak, terror groups for J&K peaceful elections

Newly appointed CM of BJP-PDP alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Mohammad Saeed has sparked a controversy while addressing the media giving credit to Pakistan, Hurriyat and terror groups credits of peaceful elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
To add on, some lawmakers of the PDP have also demanded remains of Afzal Guru back.
While, the BJP has preferred keeping distance from Mufti Saeed’s views on peaceful elections in J&K, opposition has left no stones unturned to criticize and take a dig on Mufti Saeed and Modi on these controversial statements.

AAP sweeps away Delhi | Modi wave over ?

Feb14th’15
kejriwal vs modi cartoon,
Feb10th’15
Delhi gives full support to AAP lot beyond the exit polls. BJP has been swiped away badly enough and Congress stands no where so far!!
BJP to Delhi : Fir se bolo… Ab ki Baar!!!
Delhi to BJP : bohot hua.. ab ghar ja yaar
The results are overwhelming for AAP but is it the win of Kejriwal or loss of Modi or is it completely the win of voters who are playing smarter than ever ???
Opinion Polls show AAP is maintaining a winning trend in Delhi Elections with probability of getting as many as 42 seats out of 70 to be able to make its government easily. Arvind Kejriwal , as per exit polls, show he still remains the major favourite as Delhi Chief Minister.

AAP winning Delhi would give a major setback to the ‘Modi Wave’ which is believed to have maintained its impact on state elections so far since 2014 General Elections where the wave broke trends of coalition govts by giving Modi a chance to make a majority BJP govt in the Centre.

Kiran Bedi CM face for BJP in Delhi. Not Enough?

It is undeniable that 2015 Delhi Elections certainly required a stern and prominent face like Kiran Bedi to be the face of BJP. Keeping in mind that Arvind Kejriwal had managed to counter-attack, if not nullify, the NaMo wave, in 2013 Delhi Elections. It might be an appropriate step to choose Kiran Bedi as the CM face against Kejriwal. A major common factor between Bedi and Kejriwal is that they both are not that great as team players. While, Kejriwal is comfortable as the Top Boss of his political party AAP , Bedi has joined a team where she might not have the liberty of being herself entirely.
While, Kejriwal is rowing his boat on his own , its Kiran Bedi who is on a ship which is Captained by PM Modi.
kejriwal cartoon,kiran bedi cartoon,delhi 2015 elections,mysay.in,political cartoons,
Here is a great article on Hindustan Times highlighting the similarities and differences between Bedi and Kejriwal if one might be interested to know in-depth about the way both handle tasks at hand.
BJP knows that Kiran Bedi joining BJP and being portrayed the CM candidate can ease the competition with Kejriwal but cannot eradicate the fear of loss. Keeping this in mind, party president, Amit Shah, has made aggressive plans to attack AAP and the BJP is about to hold 250 rallies within the next few days left for elections. These rallies include 4 rallies by PM Modi himself.

  • Is the ‘Modi wave’ fading out slowly, that even after showcasing Kiran Bedi as the CM face for Delhi, BJP is campaigning aggressively with its top gun leaders including PM himself ?
  • Is Kejriwal really a choice of Delhi as CM and Delhi feels he deserves a second chance after giving up in just 49 days, aspiring for the PM post ?

Hypocrisy thy name is….Politics!

Once she said Hypocrisy, thy name is BJP’ and now Shazia Ilmi is a part of BJP and so has joined probable and posing CM candidate for BJP, Kiran Bedi. Followed them, Vinod Kumar Binny, former AAP top leader.
Without a second doubt, the strategic self-promotion of Narendra Modi since 4 years in advance not only got him the Top Seat of the nation in 2014 with PM before his last name but also changed the decades old politics of ‘coalition Central Govts’in India and for good.  The rightly hyped NaMo wave has put a serious threat to regional parties even in state level elections. Complete white-washing of MNS in Maharshtra elections is a fresh example of the changing mentalities of voters in India post NaMo wave. BJP on the ride of Modi wave has managed to penetrate big time in states where it was close to non-existent and has either managed to be a part of the state govts, wholly or in coalitions, or has instigated a seriously fractured mandate, like in cases of Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi in 2013.
Governments Change Politics Doesn’t!
With BJP becoming more and more powerful and well placed in politics, politics itself remains unchanged. Politics is pleasantly hopping to the powerful in the desperate thirst of more power. They who once stood tall against the NaMo wave are helping the wave retain its slowly fading strength.  So far politics has shown its character. It has not changed itself even though the govt at the centre changed. It has remained a hypocrite as it is known to be.
Some Instances of recent Hypocrite behaviour of Politics.

  • The BJP bagged votes for ‘Development of the nation and people’. There was close to no-talk on the agenda of ‘Hindutva’. Today, BJP ministers make headlines talking pro-hindu and the govt mostly and ideally prefers acting unaware. Politics has to please all- those who understand ‘development’ and those who understand ‘development of hindutva’.
  • Black Money which played a major catalyst of white-washing Congress and its allies in 2014 elections and which was awaiting its flight back to India, as promised by the BJP and PM Modi, has again lost all its hopes to see its motherland, anytime soon.
  • The anti-corruption movement started in 2011 fell prey to politics and the movement and its first face- Anna Hazare are long forgotten. Who made it big was politics by the name of Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Shazia Ilmi, Kumar Vishwas, General VK Singh, Kiran Bedi and a few more.
  • Politics desires power more and more and has no friends and foes. The Lalus and the Nitishs who fought against each other joined hands when they both lost power.
  • Politics promises to get to power and when it gets it, abruptly runs away for more powers.

They walk together, walk alone and when required walk against each other. Make and break friendships and alliances. They blame each other, frame each other on corruption, mismanagement and what not and when necessary they hug one another as long lost friends.
cartoon on shazia ilmi, kiran bedi join bjp,
May be, BJP is no more ‘Hypocrite’or has Shazia Ilmi turned a ‘hypocrite’ now, as stated in one of her tweets in November 2013. Kiran Bedi who repeatedly questioned PM Modi’s role in 2002 Gujarat riots, till some times back, speaks highly of his leadership, today.  Strange!
Politics thy name is double-standards, desperate hunger for ultimate power, falsifying promises.  Politics you promise to empower us but solely aim power to self. Hypocrisy, thy name is…Politics!!

BJP bags Jharkhand|J&K no clear mandate

Jharkhand has given its decision in favour of BJP with the party getting 42 seats out of 81 in the state. This is for the first time the party has created a clear space for itself in Jharkhand and has dominated other parties big time.
jharkhand election cartoons,amit shah cartoon,bjp cartoon, mysay.in,
Jammu and Kashmir on the other hand did not give  a clear mandate to any party with PDP becoming the single largest party in the state getting 28 seats. The BJP which failed its ‘Mission 44’ in J&K got 25(just 3 less) seats in the state, standing as the 2nd largest party. PDP has to weigh its options to form a coalition govt with either BJP or Congress & others.
J&K election cartoon 2014,mysay.in,mehbooba mufti cartoon, amit shah cartoon,
Should BJP’s failed ‘Mission 44’ in J&K truely be considered their failure ? Were they really hoping to get 44 seats in a state like Jammu & Kashmir where they had no chance of making any impact on Kashmir valley, dominated by Muslim population ? Its Jammu which has given BJP all its 25 seats while the Modi wave and development mantra had no impact on the Kashmir valley and Ladakh.
In states like Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir, BJP has managed to grow very strong displacing other bigger players of the state,  post 2014 General elections. The party is emerging as a strong contender against the state level parties and regional politics, as a whole. Since 2013, BJP has either won state elections with a clear mandate or has managed to stand too big to either be in coalition or spoil it all for other parties.

Amit Shah's rally denied approval in Kolkata

The BJP has knocked the door of the Kolkata High Court thrice now after being denied  approval for Amit Shah’s rally in outside Victoria Hall , a popular site ideally preferred by TMC Supremo, CM- Mamata Banerjee.  Although the BJP had applied for the ground in July, five months later – last week, the police rejected the request citing traffic problems. The city’s civic body and the fire department also reportedly cited lack of proper sketch of the stage plan as the reason for disapproval.
Is planting ‘lotus’ in Bengal so easy in our didi’s reign?
Amit Shah who has been the ‘key’ knight for Modi in General Elections cracking difficult states like Uttar Pradesh in BJP’s favour and Maharashtra in State Elections, has a tougher competition to face.
