Rahul Gandhi cancels rally after Cong candidate gets arrested

After a criminal case was registered against Imran Masood,Congress’ Saharanpur candidate, and he was arrested for his hate speech against Modi,Rahul Gandhi’s Saharanpur rally was cancelled. Imran Masood has stated he would chop Modi into pieces and that Gujarat has only 4 percent Muslims but Uttar Pradesh there are 42 percent Muslims. When questioned,Imran said all he meant was he would teach Modi a lesson and that he would say sorry only after Modi says so for 2002 riots in Gujarat. The Congress party seemed sidelining itself from Masood’s controversial remark to the extent that Rahul Gandhi who was scheduled to address a rally in the area cancelled his visit.
Who knows, the party cadres might be feeling at ease after Rahul cancelling his visit. After all, its a tough ask to gather crowd for Rahul.rahul gandhi jokes, congress jokes, election 2014,political cartoons, imran masood, hate speech,

Modi refers Kejriwal 'AK49' a Pakistani Agent

Addressing one of his rallies,Modi attacked Arvind Kejriwal directly by calling him a Pakistani Agent. He said India had three AK’s emerging as Pakistani commanders on Indian side – First,AK47 which was used by Pakistan to bleed India.Second,AK Antony, the Union Defence Minister, who had stated in the Parliament that people who beheaded Indian soldiers were wearing the dress of Pakistan army, while army said Pakistanis had come.Last July,Pakistani army had intruded in the Indian side and beheaded two Indian soldiers. The third,Modi mentioned, was AK49 which has launched a new party recently. This was a mock at Arvind Kejriwal’s 49 day old govt in Delhi.
AAP has emerged as a strong vote-cutter for BJP in 2014 which was quite visible in Delhi polls where BJP could not make its Govt despite Congress losing real bad.

Nandan Nilekani from Rs 200 to 7,700 crores ?

Nandan Nilekani , the former UIDAI chief and co-founder of Infosys, who has recently joined Congress, disclosed details of his assets while filing his nomination for Lok Sabha.
He recalled when he co-founded Infosys, he had Rs 200 in his pocket and today he has assets worth Rs 7,700 crores !!
But one thing that might be keeping politicians baffled is, if he has already made so much money legitimately, why is he required to join politics ?  😀

P Chidambaram not to fight 2014 polls

After Manish Tewari declared himself unfit and decided not to fight polls from Ludhiana, its the Union Finance Minister,P Chidambaram who is not going to fight elections from Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu from where he was elected an MP in 2004 and 2009 and instead his son Kirti Chidambaram will replace him.
Is this just  co-incidence or  fear of loss ?   😉

The politics of 'I dare'

Kumar Vishwas, the poet turned politician from the AAP party has managed to keep his name consistently intact in Breaking News Headlines by daring the big guys in his opponent teams for 2014 Elections. After he has been officially declared AAP’s candidate against Rahul Gandhi in upcoming General Elections he has tried ‘daring’ Rahul Gandhi quite a number of times now.In the process, he ‘dared’ Narendra Modi along with Rahul Gandhi to fight elections in Amethi(a stronghold constituency of Gandhis) against him.
Recently,he visited the house of the Dalit where Rahul Gandhi had stayed for a night to claim his concerns for them.He said he did not see any change in the life-style of the Dalit family , Rahul had visited.Without wasting time Kumar Vishwas ‘dared’ Rahul Gandhi yet again for a debate on various topics including Amethi.
Once a fan of Narendra Modi,Kumar Vishwas, said he changed his mind about Modi after he saw corruption in Modi’s Gujarat.
Interestingly, although Kumar Vishwas is keeping in news for controversies of daring Rahul Gandhi and Modi and speaking ill about minorities,he is not being taken seriously by either BJP or Congress.
Will this ‘I dare’ politics work ?

Pied Pipers Of Indian Politics

Remember, the Pied Piper nursery rhyme?
With the arrival of 2014 accompanying AAP govt in the national capital, the battle of 2014 General Elections is becoming intense and the results are looking unpredictable, yet again. In between, it seemed,BJP led by Narendra Modi with the mantra of -DEVELOPMENT would make it to the power. If not a clean sweep by BJP, surely, the NDA , as a whole, may have formed its Govt in Centre. But,to the astonishment of many political analysts ,major political parties and the common man, Aam Aadmi Party, led by Arvind Kejriwal did immensely well in the Delhi Polls and although they managed 28 seats out of 70,they ended up making their govt in Delhi with the support of Congress. BJP chose to be in the opposition with 31 seats.
However, the results in Delhi gave AAP the confidence to think national. They have chosen 10 states and are aiming 100 seats for the upcoming General Elections. Now,the present scenario assures that those who are fed up of both the BJP and Congress but chose BJP over Congress, may opt for AAP . Moreover,AAP has managed to wake up those sections of voters who considered voting a waste of time. Those who prefer keeping themselves away from politics, all in all,as they felt their votes would hardly make a difference to clean the corrupt politics of India.
Looks like the Pied Piper playing the flute of ‘development in Gujarat’ will have to compete with another Pied Piper playing the flute of ‘Commoners fight against Corruption by Indian politicians’. By the way, what is Rahul Gandhi planning for 2014 GE ? 😀

As the media says, you may love him or hate him but you can’t avoid him. That is Narendra Modi.

Digvijay Singh to stop Hindu version of Taliban?

Digvijay Singh of Congress has blasted yet another fresh speech bomb on PM candidate of BJP, Narendra Modi by stating that he won’t allow Hindu version of Taliban to succeed in India. He also accused the Gujarat CM of hijacking Sardar Patel’s legacy and of ditching ideologies of  RSS icons.
Popular for making controversial speeches against anyone who stands against congress,Digvijay Singh had also termed Modi as Ravana and Bhasmasura previously.Question is, Modi has a weapon called Development to battle it out against Congress but what weapon does Digvijay Singh carry to be able to stand against Modi? 🙂

Countering Malnutrition

The CAG has criticized and questioned the working of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) in Gujarat, aimed at fighting malnutrition among children. The CAG claims every 3rd child of the state is under-weight.
As expected,Modi is being slammed by the Congress and other critics in the political arena for his propaganda on Gujarat’s development under his tenure.
