Hypocrisy thy name is….Politics!

Once she said Hypocrisy, thy name is BJP’ and now Shazia Ilmi is a part of BJP and so has joined probable and posing CM candidate for BJP, Kiran Bedi. Followed them, Vinod Kumar Binny, former AAP top leader.
Without a second doubt, the strategic self-promotion of Narendra Modi since 4 years in advance not only got him the Top Seat of the nation in 2014 with PM before his last name but also changed the decades old politics of ‘coalition Central Govts’in India and for good.  The rightly hyped NaMo wave has put a serious threat to regional parties even in state level elections. Complete white-washing of MNS in Maharshtra elections is a fresh example of the changing mentalities of voters in India post NaMo wave. BJP on the ride of Modi wave has managed to penetrate big time in states where it was close to non-existent and has either managed to be a part of the state govts, wholly or in coalitions, or has instigated a seriously fractured mandate, like in cases of Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi in 2013.
Governments Change Politics Doesn’t!
With BJP becoming more and more powerful and well placed in politics, politics itself remains unchanged. Politics is pleasantly hopping to the powerful in the desperate thirst of more power. They who once stood tall against the NaMo wave are helping the wave retain its slowly fading strength.  So far politics has shown its character. It has not changed itself even though the govt at the centre changed. It has remained a hypocrite as it is known to be.
Some Instances of recent Hypocrite behaviour of Politics.

  • The BJP bagged votes for ‘Development of the nation and people’. There was close to no-talk on the agenda of ‘Hindutva’. Today, BJP ministers make headlines talking pro-hindu and the govt mostly and ideally prefers acting unaware. Politics has to please all- those who understand ‘development’ and those who understand ‘development of hindutva’.
  • Black Money which played a major catalyst of white-washing Congress and its allies in 2014 elections and which was awaiting its flight back to India, as promised by the BJP and PM Modi, has again lost all its hopes to see its motherland, anytime soon.
  • The anti-corruption movement started in 2011 fell prey to politics and the movement and its first face- Anna Hazare are long forgotten. Who made it big was politics by the name of Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Shazia Ilmi, Kumar Vishwas, General VK Singh, Kiran Bedi and a few more.
  • Politics desires power more and more and has no friends and foes. The Lalus and the Nitishs who fought against each other joined hands when they both lost power.
  • Politics promises to get to power and when it gets it, abruptly runs away for more powers.

They walk together, walk alone and when required walk against each other. Make and break friendships and alliances. They blame each other, frame each other on corruption, mismanagement and what not and when necessary they hug one another as long lost friends.
cartoon on shazia ilmi, kiran bedi join bjp,
May be, BJP is no more ‘Hypocrite’or has Shazia Ilmi turned a ‘hypocrite’ now, as stated in one of her tweets in November 2013. Kiran Bedi who repeatedly questioned PM Modi’s role in 2002 Gujarat riots, till some times back, speaks highly of his leadership, today.  Strange!
Politics thy name is double-standards, desperate hunger for ultimate power, falsifying promises.  Politics you promise to empower us but solely aim power to self. Hypocrisy, thy name is…Politics!!

Pak bans terror outfits including JuD & Haqqani Network

Pakistan has decided to ban 10 terror outfits which includes JuD which is led by Hafiz Saeed, alleged mastermind of Mumbai 26/11 attacks & Afghan deadly terror group the Haqqani Network.
After Tehreek-e-Taliban’s leader Mullah Fazlullah (the group which attacked an Army School in Peshawar and killed more than 150, mostly students) has been declared as a ‘Specially Designated Global Terrorist’ by the USA, Pakistan took stern steps to ban terror outfits in the country.
Until recently Pakistan has been constantly defending “Hafiz Saeed” and has always denied taking strict steps against terrorist outfits who frequently attack India. Still it is tough to decide if the deadly Peshawar Army School attack has taught Pakistan its share of lessons.
Its time the world understands terror has no religion.

Charlie Hebdo Attack|Cartoonists Respond back worldwide

French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo faced a ruthless terror attack on January 7th 2015 which killed twelve people, including the editor Stéphane “Charb” Charbonnier, seven other Charlie Hebdo employees, and two national police officers.Three armed men reportedly forced in the offices of the publication and opened fire.
Charbonnier was in the hit list of terrorist outfit Al-Qaeda since long. Known for its cartoons and jokes not only on Islamic leaders and Prophet Muhammad but also on Catholicism and Judaism other than politics and culture, the newspaper, its editor and cartoonists have been attracting controversy since long.

The question is : is religion bigger than humanity ? Is satire and criticism so lethal that it has to be responded back with bloodshed ? Does a critic not give us an opportunity of introspection ? And above all, can guns really win hearts of human beings and its Creator- the Supreme for whom some have self-licensed themselves to kill fellow humans ?
Meanwhile, there has been a strong response from political cartoonists community worldwide against this attack which indicates, may be, guns can scare pencils and brushes but not so much that they will stop drawing. cartoon on charlie hebdo attack, mysay.in, charlie hebdo shooting, Here are links of cartoons against the attack :

BJP bags Jharkhand|J&K no clear mandate

Jharkhand has given its decision in favour of BJP with the party getting 42 seats out of 81 in the state. This is for the first time the party has created a clear space for itself in Jharkhand and has dominated other parties big time.
jharkhand election cartoons,amit shah cartoon,bjp cartoon, mysay.in,
Jammu and Kashmir on the other hand did not give  a clear mandate to any party with PDP becoming the single largest party in the state getting 28 seats. The BJP which failed its ‘Mission 44’ in J&K got 25(just 3 less) seats in the state, standing as the 2nd largest party. PDP has to weigh its options to form a coalition govt with either BJP or Congress & others.
J&K election cartoon 2014,mysay.in,mehbooba mufti cartoon, amit shah cartoon,
Should BJP’s failed ‘Mission 44’ in J&K truely be considered their failure ? Were they really hoping to get 44 seats in a state like Jammu & Kashmir where they had no chance of making any impact on Kashmir valley, dominated by Muslim population ? Its Jammu which has given BJP all its 25 seats while the Modi wave and development mantra had no impact on the Kashmir valley and Ladakh.
In states like Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir, BJP has managed to grow very strong displacing other bigger players of the state,  post 2014 General elections. The party is emerging as a strong contender against the state level parties and regional politics, as a whole. Since 2013, BJP has either won state elections with a clear mandate or has managed to stand too big to either be in coalition or spoil it all for other parties.

BJP disowns 'Homecoming' Event

After the opposition got yet another strong point to corner the ruling BJP government and to disrupt the workings of Parliament in recent times, the BJP has finally washed its hands off the ‘Ghar Vapsi’ Event.
ghar vapsi event cartoon,homecoming,political cartoons,mysay.in,
BJP spokesperson finally clarified that the party has not initiated or promoted any such event or individuals and sternly believes everyone is free to practice the religion of his choice.
The opposition parties have united against the government since Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti’s hate speech against non-hindus. The weak opposition was already turning stronger by attacking PM Modi on his frequent foreign visits and govt’s failing promises on bringing back ‘Black Money’ in hundred days. To top it, the BJP pro-hindu leaders  have been attracting controversies either by organizing religious conversion events or by calling Nathuram Godse ( the man who assassinated Gandhi) an equal patriot.
ghar vapsi conversion event, homecoming event cartoon, mysay.in,
Interestingly, the nation did not vote for BJP or pro-hindu ideologies but for PM Modi’s leadership skills and agenda of ‘Development’ but the pro-hindu BJP leaders who just acted as faces for Modi, are now singing their same old pro-hinduism songs.

Pak gives logistical support to Hafiz Saeed rally

Pak’s Nawaz Sharif govt has run two special trains from Karachi and Hyderabad to transport people to the JuD rally where the 26/11 mastermind and one of the world’s most wanted terrorist , Hafiz Saeed, openly warned India once again that India will face consequences if Kashmir is not ‘freed’. He asked the Sharif Govt to support Kashmiris in all possible way if India does not listen through dialogues.
While Paksitan says it wants dialogues with India on Kashmir issue , it has always maintained that it will not distance itself from the ‘separatists’ of Kashmir. Terrorists like Hafiz Saeed roam free in Pak  while they are accused of 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. Pakistan never agreed Kasab was a Pakistani while numerous proofs were produced in front. While Pakistan has always maintained double-standards they, on the contrary, claim India maintains double standards. Bottomline – Nawaz does not seem ‘Sharif'(decent) anymore.
