N Srinivasan has been re-elected as the ‘unopposed’ BCCI President.He was the only one to file nomination for the post and hence the announcement was just a formality.Although as per the Supreme Court , the undisputed BCCI king cannot discharge his duties as a President until the final verdict in Jagan Reddy case where his company’s name is also associated and another case filed against him by Aditya Verma( Cricket Association of Bihar secretary).
Reminds of the Amul Macho advertisement starring Saif Ali Khan – where he wins a race walking and says – ‘Bade Aaram Se’ ( With absolute ease).The advert depicts wearing Amul Macho vest one can do anything with ease  🙂 .

Banned for Life !

Former IPL boss , Lalit Modi, is banned by BCCI for life for financial irregularities. In its Special General Meeting the Board discussed a report filed by its disciplinary committee and decided to impose the ban. Modi has although declared that this ban is not the end and that he will have the last laugh in the entire issue!

Salman asks journalist to put down his blog post

As per an IBN NEWS article bollywood’s Dabang actor Salman Khan ‘communicated’ to an entertainment journalist(Soumyadipta Banerjee) to convince him to take down the blog post he had written in connection with Khan’s hit-and-run case.In the post he had mentioned about police constable Late Ravindra Patil describing how he absconded, under pressure,being a witness of the hit-and-run case against Salman Khan and how he died of TB and his last words.
The IBN NEWS article has links of the post written by the journalist which he has removed from his blog(but is available on the net) and also the post link on the journalist’s website where he apologizes  to Salman Khan for posting the previous post on Ravindra Patil and declares he has deleted it from his blog.
Well, when it comes to Celebs, opinions differ.Some say the celeb should be spared and some are too strict wanting the celeb to be severely punished.After all, a coin has two sides. Reading the post on Ravindra Patil, I can conclude at least , in India , money matters over lives .
People , I would request you to read the article by Mr Banerjee which I read and then make an opinion,if at all you wish to. I am not for Salman Khan and not against him. I do not need to have an opinion about him. But I have an opinion about how my country,our country, treats celebs and commoners.I feel ashamed !

Sufferings of a long-haired Indian male

I don’t know that well about the West but I’m sure men with long hair is not that big an issue.In India it indeed is(unless you are in a saintly  group enchanting God’s name and in a Saffron or White attire 😉 ). Its about to be 2 years since I had my last hair-cut done. Ok ! Chill!!  🙂
I know its not normal, at least , for an Indian male.In fact, who better than me would know that. Breaking the shackles of Indian society ain’t easy- a dialogue people may love from an Indian female.Right ?
And if you think Indian male can do whatever they like,you are absolutely wrong. With my hair growing below shoulders,I drive unwanted attention everywhere , no matter, I go anywhere or anyone invades my dwelling.
I would love to show what you go through when you break Indian social norms as a male and would love your feedback.
In my next post , I will surely give my reasons of growing long hair and keeping a trim beard  even at the cost of all the pain, I go through,everyday. 🙂

Ganguly hates comparing with Dhoni

Sourav Ganguly,the former Indian captain spoke to NDTVSports  in an exclusive chat during the Champions Trophy semifinal between India and Sri Lanka in Cardiff on June 20 where he revealed he hates being compared with Dhoni and as he feels players of different era played under different situations and conditions hence cannot be compared. He also said Dhoni is a Terrific Captain and has lot of cricket in him even now !  🙂
No matter , how much we argue and claim Dhoni is better captain than dada aka Sourav Ganguly, one thing is undeniable, there is one thing which only dada could do and no one else –During the final match of the 2002 NatWest Trophy held in Lords,England after a stunning performance by team mates Yuvraj Singh and Md Kaif , Ganguly took off his shirt in public and waved it in the air to celebrate India’s win( It was a statement to the world of cricket) and was later condemned for jeopardizing Lords protocol and cricket. No matter what, Sourav Ganguly taught Team India to stare into the eyes of the opponent and do not go by names of the opponent or the place they were playing in. Today the confidence which we see in Team India’s each and every player is a gift of Sourav Ganguly to Indian Cricket,I firmly believe.
Difference between Dhoni and Ganguly,as per me- Dhoni has attitude and Dada had attitude problem and both rock 😀
