MNS Chitrapat Sena (Film Wing) threatened to disrupt and stop release of Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express,on August 8, as it reportedly attempted to dislodge ongoing popular Marathi movie Duniyadari from single-screen cinemas in the state. MNS was assured that no single screen cinema halls or multiplexes are going to give more importance to Chennnai Express by changing the timing of the Marathi film, by Rohit Shetty and then given the green signal by Raj Thackeray. 😀 Beat this !! Other parties should learn from MNS how to keep in news.
Keeping in mind The General Elections ahead Rahul Gandhi the Congress Vice President has asked party spokespersons to refrain from making personal attacks on Narendra Modi and instead question is Gujarat Development Model. Special spokespersons would be appointed to handle questions related to Modi 😀 and they would have to seek prior permissions before attending any media chat shows 😀 .
No matter , Modi wins or not , one thing cannot be denied he has given sleepless nights to Congress which will continue till the GE 2014 Election results are out !
UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has defended the suspension of IAS officer ,Durga Shakti Nagpal, was in the interest of maintaining communal harmony in the region and discarded allegations that she was suspended for taking on the sand mafias.
These were his statements even as the Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate report said that the officer did not order the demolition of a portion of the mosque as alleged by the Uttar Pradesh government and interestingly now the SP wants the District Magistrate be suspended for maintaining that Durga Nagpal had not ordered demolition of Mosque wall.
Now that is the advantage of being a self-proclaimed Secular Party. 🙂
Shobhaa De,the renowned columnist tweeted – “Maharashtra and Mumbai??? Why not? Mumbai has always fancied itself as an independent entity, anyway. This game has countless possibilities.” after the Congress declared birth of Telangana as the 29th state. To anyone it will sound like a satirical comment but Maharashtra’s parties MNS and NCP took this to a different level just to make a news,it seems. Well! Not their fault.Even they need to keep in news. 😀
Former Uttar Pradesh CM,Mayawati, has said that the large state of Uttar Pradesh should be split into smaller states to facilitate better governance and also supports the formation of Gorkhaland out of West Bengal and Vidarbha out of Maharashtra. The SP is against such splitting of Uttar Pradesh.
Ideally this is a better way for small parties to come to power and remain there for longer period of time because they know the areas of their strong hold in bigger states and good governance is the only sugar-coated pill for splitting states for vested interest.
Crikceter Sreesanth’s name is in Delhi Police chargesheet along with Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim and his aid Chota Shakeel and stringent Act MCOCA has been invoked on these 3 and 25 other arrested in IPL Betting Case . Amendments have been moved to the RTI Act to relieve political parties from being obliged to share details of their funding or how they choose their candidates. the Central Information Commission which ensures the RTI Act is implemented and public queries are answered by government departments, ruled that the six major national parties including the Congress and BJP are public authorities and must respond to RTI applications and in return, parties had argued that they are monitored and accountable for funding and other issues to the Election Commission hence should be exempted from RTI Act .
Akhilesh run SP govt has been severely criticized by the IAS body and retired bureaucrats over suspension of IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal, who had cracked down on the sand mafia in Greater Noida. The opposition parties accused Akhilesh Govt of favouring the sand mafias. They claimed the IAS officer was targeted because she red-flagged illegal sand mining being promoted in the area.
