‘Didi’ asks PM to sack Dinesh Trivedi ?

Railway Budget that derailed Railway Minister’s Chair !

Check Ticket Price Hike

Dinesh Trivedi, the Railway Minister remained in the news since the morning as the nation was awaiting the Railway Budget and when it was announced his own party became his biggest critic because the budget favoured increasing ticket fares. TMC which has never favoured hike in price from fuel to fare stood by its principles and the Supremo of  TMC, Mamata Banerjee ultimately has asked the Prime Minister to sack her own party member, Dinesh Trivedi from the post of Railway Minister and replace him with Mukul Roy of the party. TMC demanded a rollback  however, Trivedi stood by his budget even after knowing it could cost his chair as he reasoned the fare hike mandatory for the smooth running of the railways and also to increase the safety of the passengers!  TMC has never lost any opportunity to capitalize on situations where there is any kind of price hike, be it reasonable or not  and this time they have ended up sacrificing one of their prominent members in the Centre.Price hike will never be prefered by anyone be it rich or poor or the middle-class but it does not raise eyebrows provided it makes sense and price hike in railway fare for the reasons of paying back previous loans,to avail smooth running of the railways and to increase safety of passengers, hopefully makes sense to most , if not all.

Census 2011 data on houses, household amenities and assets released on Tuesday, March 13th 2012 , reveals facts about our country’s true health in terms of basics of life. Sanitation facilities at homes are available to only 50% of the population! On the contrary, mobile phones and connections have become dearth cheap and almost mandatory for Indians that the same percentage has mobile phones!

Wish bathrooms could be installed at houses by private players on a monthly rent or pay as you go basis , the way it happens with mobile phones. The percentage would have been surely better.Governments will always show themselves poor(no matter who we select to run our country), seeking aides from foreign countries while the politicians would make multi-billions (and keep fighting corruption charges till their last breath and enjoy the money they have accumulated) and the country would be left in a shameful state, forced to use the fields for taking Nature’s Call.

The Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Parliamentary Affairs, Harish Rawat, offered to resign from the Cabinet and wrote to Congress President Sonia Gandhi that he would like to work just as an ordinary worker, after Vijay Bahuguna was chosen to be the Chief-Minister over senior leaders, like himself. With rebels grown inside the party , Sonia Gandhi has called all the senior leaders and Vijay Bahuguna for a meeting in Delhi to sort the issue out. Rawat claims to be supported by 17 MLAs in Uttarakhand Assembly.

Chances of solution seem distant if Rawat continues to be stubborn on being made the CM and if that happens it would not only be embarrassing for the Congress Party but also for Vijay Bahuguna.

It is tough to believe that our nation is run by goon turned political leaders, so much in number and yet we expect corruption to be abolished from the society. These informations should be made public in all constituencies prior to elections , probably only then we would be able to elect the right candidate to represent us as the leader!

Mamata Banerjee not crossing coalition ‘Laxman Rekha’-Not attending swearing-ceremonies!

Congress spokesman Abhishek Singhvi’s warning against Mamata Banerjee not to cross the “laxman rekha (boundary line)” of “coalition dharma” by attending the two swearing-in ceremonies, in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh may have held ‘didi’ back from attending these ceremonies. She was being invitied by Prakash Singh Badal, CM of Punjab and Akhilesh Yadav,CM Uttar Pradesh, to attend swearing-ceremonies to be held on 14th and 15th March respectively. Well there is a valid reason given as well by Mukul Roy, All India TMC general secretary that the Budget Session of the state is beginning on the 15th of the month and it is a parliamentary convention that chief minister should remain present in the House during the Governor’s speech on the opening day of the Assembly session.
