For those who may not be aware of Kabaddi,it is one of the ethnic and old games played in India and neighbouring countries, the name of which originates from Tamil word- ‘ Kai-pidi’ meaning ‘Hold Hands’ .
The 2014 General Elections,in a nutshell,is Modi vs All.From small state level parties to big national level , all seem to be stopping this one man from being the Prime Minister of India 2014. Few are also from within his team. Others are maintaining silence to see the results before reacting and taking decisions.
After all, there are many silent contenders who wish to get the top job,few are known to all and few are waiting for the right opportunity. Almost all the parties are playing to stop Modi , be it newly formed AAP or formed since pre-Independence, Congress.
Regardless of the results of 2014 General Elections,Modi has surely emerged as the only extraordinary Indian politician for who citizens of the nation seem to have divided into two groups – Pro-Modi and Anti-Modi.
In a short tv speech , Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President is seen appealing to the people of India to defeat the ‘divisive and autocratic forces’ in the nation. She attacked the BJP by claiming their vision is clouded with hatred and falsehood.
Looks like , its little too late now. Had it not been better Congress would have worked all this while ?? Will this last minute appeal really work for Congress ??
While AAP could easily retain its Delhi governance it chose to sight a reason of leaving the govt and did the same in 49 days. They were keen to pay attention towards 2014 General Elections. While the AAP came to power requesting people to SMS and suggest them whether they should make the Govt or not in Delhi. They never bothered asking the same public as to should they quit the Delhi governance and try their luck in General Elections.
Is AAP really taking politics as a child’s play ?? Or is it that it was a well thought move to attempt Centre Politics leaving Delhi Arvind Kejriwal knew its ‘Now or Never’ if he wishes to make it real big in politics.
Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission,Montek Singh Ahluwalia stood good 69.
Most of us will agree on that ranking of Dr Singh. After all, he holds the Prime Minister’s chair of World’s largest democracy and about to complete 10 years as a PM and is not even burdened with the responsibilities of the office. ;)
The Election Commission of India has asked Rahul Gandhi , the Congress Vice-President , to explain his ‘ISI remark’ after the BJP complained about him of violating the model code of conduct pre-elections. He was given a week’s time while his office said he remained busy during the festival hence the commission has granted him another 4 days to explain. In one of his speeches in the recent past, Rahul Gandhi had said that some security agencies informed him that the minority riot victims of the Muzaffarnagar riots are being contacted by Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI to join terror outfits. Rahul had accused the BJP of playing communal politics even in Muzaffarnagar riots which is provoking differences between communities.
Rahul Gandhi’s speeches always remain under the radar of Media and Opposition as much as Narendra Modi’s and this is yet another addition to his controversial statements in the past. His previous theories like Poverty is a state of Mind and Dalits need Jupiter’s escape velocity to succeed are already popular and it seems like the ISI recruitment theory would need an explanation too.
The Allahabad Congress has passed a resolution demanding Priyanka Gandhi/Vadra be contesting polls from Phulpur, once the constituency of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Although, the Congress party has been denying any such involvement of Priyanka, still speculations are strong that she is being kept as the last trump card to be opened closer to the 2014 polls.
Well,Modi seems to be too big a personality to be overshadowed by any Congress leader or member of Gandhi family.
Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley is of the view that PM Manmohan Singh is using silence as the weapon of concealment in the missing coal files issue. BTW,Sonia Gandhi is in the US for her medical chek-up
