Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was heard patting his government’s shoulders on the 4th anniversary of UPA II Government.
If Congress sources are to be believed, Dr Manmohan Singh may become the party’s choice for the prime minister’s post for a possible third term if Rahul Gandhi continues to insist on staying behind and strengthening the party rather than opting as the face for UPA Prime Ministerial Candidate for 2014 General Elections !
Well, sounds like a fairy tale.As if Rahul Gandhi does not know that if, at all, UPA gets a third chance to serve the nation, it would surely be his last opportunity to take the driving seat and probably make things happen for Congress. In the opposition, the Cold War between Bihar’s CM, Nitish Kumar, and Gujarat’s CM, Narendra Modi, may take a bigger shape if Modi is selected as the prime ministerial candidate for NDA.
Congress indicates , Manmohan may serve third term if UPA wins , while Rahul is not being kept totally away from the gossip on the topic. On the other side, BJP is also yet to clear its stands on whether Modi is the prime ministerial candidate for NDA or not. To add on, Mulayam Singh’s re-indication of formation of a Third-Front by the year end, is adding on to the confusion.
It all looked like,Rahul Vs Modi, till 2012 but now things are getting blur. No matter what the combination may come out as, one thing is assured, with Modi proving to be the most suitable Prime Ministerial candidate amongst any names we take throughout the country , it would never be easy for Rahul Gandhi to get the seat without proving his worth, ever.

Gujarat Chief Minister will visit Allahabad to take a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh Mela on Feb 12 .
Congress has declared that Rahul Gandhi Vs Narendra Modi in 2014 General Elections is a ‘media joke‘ and that they have democratic procedure of electing a Prime Ministerial Candidate on behalf of the party . Well, Modi’s is yet another victory in Gujarat and Congress’ failure in Uttar Pradesh Elections where the campaign was led by Rahul Gandhi is self-explaining as to why Congress has no face to show Rahul Gandhi as competitor against Narendra Modi for prime ministerial post.
Expressing his assurance on FDI in retail which got approved by the parliament,Prime Minister,Dr Manmohan Singh said that FDI would benefit both the farmers and consumers and that the farmers organization in Punjab had strongly supported FDI in retail.
Well, forget about an average farmer, even half of the percentage of literate India cannot point out the exact benefit and demerit of Foreign Direct Investment in Retail Trade ! Can we ?
Rahul taking bigger responsibilities in Congress has again made to the news after being accused of being involved in floating a pvt ltd company which went ahead and bought a public ltd company with valuable property in Delhi and UP.Congress has also been accused of funding Young Indians,a company controlled by Gandhis, with an unsecured loan of Rs 90 crores. All these allegations are being made by Janta Dal head,Subramaniam Swamy who always has proof supporting his allegations.
While, Congress is all prepared to portray Rahul as the PM candidate for UPA in the 2014 General Elections,is it right on Mr Swamy’s part to drag Rahul into controversy?
