4 AprIf Congress sources are to be believed, Dr Manmohan Singh may become the party’s choice for the prime minister’s post for a possible third term if Rahul Gandhi continues to insist on staying behind and strengthening the party rather than opting as the face for UPA Prime Ministerial Candidate for 2014 General Elections !
Well, sounds like a fairy tale.As if Rahul Gandhi does not know that if, at all, UPA gets a third chance to serve the nation, it would surely be his last opportunity to take the driving seat and probably make things happen for Congress. In the opposition,the Cold War between Bihar’s CM, Nitish Kumar, and Gujarat’s CM, Narendra Modi, may take a bigger shape if Modi is selected as the prime ministerial candidate for NDA.

19 MarThe DMK has pulled out of the Congress-led UPAII coalition in protest against the government’s position on a United Nations resolution on the bloody end to Sri Lanka’s civil war with the separatist Tamil Tigers.The DMK wants India to add strong language to the UN Human Rights Council resolution to accuse Sri Lanka of ”genocide,” and demand an international inquiry into possible war crimes.

PM’s stern warning to Italy to send accused marines back
13 MarPrime Minister,Manmohan Singh, has sent a strong warning to Italy to send the two Italian marines back to India who are facing charges of killing two Indian fishermen . With orders from Supreme Court of India the two marines were allowed to go back to Italy for attending elections and were scheduled to be coming back within 22nd of March’13. While the Italian Foreign Ministry has declared that the marines won’t be sent back to India for trial, all the pre-assurance from the officials of the country to the Supreme Court of India stood void. With the opposition targeting the government for being ‘soft’ on the issue because it has to do with Italy , PM Singh probably had to warn Italy of ‘consequences’ if the marines are not returned !
Looks like,the issue is bound to take up a big shape soon. Till then India should be celebrating that our PM has broken his silence at last and its a clear message -” Don’t Angry Me” . :)

What will happen at Congress Senior leader,Digvijay Singh’s office if he starts getting legal notices for passing remarks.He never spares passing remarks (derogatory,mostly,not always ) anyone who dares standing against Congress ? He would become an undisputed back to back record holder of most number of legal notices for passing remarks .

Bristish PM David Cameron denies giving back Kohinoor diamond to India
21 FebKohinoor,the 105 karat diamond which is among one of the largest diamonds in the world and is on display in Tower Of London was taken away from India by the British during the colonial era.While,India has been requesting it back since decades , today the British Prime Minister declined any chances of the diamond being returned back siting his disbelief in ‘returnism’ and that the country is anyways taking care of it. He also visited the Jaliawala Bagh and declared the incident of 1919( where the police opened fire at unarmed civilians killing and wounding 100s at the Jaliawalah Bagh) as shameful.
