3rd Indo-China flag meeting to discuss incursions
30 AprChina’s Foreign Ministry has politely but firmly declared more than once that its a new camp near the Line of Actual Control in the Depsang Valley of Ladakh(19kms inside Indian territory )and it is not an incursion. A third meeting was held today in Ladakh between army commanders from China and India to discuss the border tension that has erupted since a platoon of Chinese soldiers set up a camp 19 kms within Indian territory.
Indian Defence Minister has also clarified that India would seek all measures to ensure a peaceful resolution on the matter!!!!

10 AprBengal’s politics of violence reached the national capital on Tuesday as Students Federation of India(SFI) activists manhandled State Finance Minster Amit Mitra outside the Planning Commission raising slogans against the Mamata Banerjee. The SFI protest was against the death of a SFI cadre,Sudipto Gupta, in police custody . Angry Mamata Banerjee expressed her shock and her worry about how even she could have suffered.She also termed the protesters as hooligans and reminded she could bring 10 lakh people to Delhi who are behind her !! Angry didi blamed the protesters of willingly stopping Bengal from growing and cancelled her pre-scheduled meeting with the PM !!

Meanwhile, TMC and the Left workers had their share of arm twisting with eachother in Bengal till their respective leaders asked them to calm down. TMC has declared a protest march wearing black bands on the streets condemning attack on their leaders.

8 AprUnion Minister and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar on Monday apologized for his nephew and Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar’s ‘urine’ remarks that ridiculed the hunger-strike by a drought-affected farmer of the state.In a rally he said where will he give water from when there is no water in the dam . Should he urinate in the dam ? And as expected, the opposition has demanded his resignation !!
This is not the first time uncle Sharad has come to the rescue of Ajit !! Well, I pray we all get a loving uncle like Sharad ji !! :D

7 AprBJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, yesterday,asked partymen not to be apologetic for the Ayodhya movement and instead take pride in it.It is a well known fact that BJP got a great political exposure only after the unfortunate Babri Masjid demolition and they got to power and formed a government at the Centre because of the issue and even lost it when they did not fulfill their commitment of constructing a Ram Temple on the disputed land of Ayodhya after coming to power. Riots allover India and neighbouring countries broke out taking hundreds and thousands of lives of hindus and muslims, thereafter.Followed was a series of bomb blasts in 1993 in Mumbai in retaliation to the Mosque demolition. Yet Advani ji takes pride on the movement !! Great !!
Well,should his partymen also be proud of his statement made on Jinnah that he was secular, while, on his visit to Pakistan ? The statement had created buzz all around and had left him speechless in front of the national media and his party. ;)

4 AprIf Congress sources are to be believed, Dr Manmohan Singh may become the party’s choice for the prime minister’s post for a possible third term if Rahul Gandhi continues to insist on staying behind and strengthening the party rather than opting as the face for UPA Prime Ministerial Candidate for 2014 General Elections !
Well, sounds like a fairy tale.As if Rahul Gandhi does not know that if, at all, UPA gets a third chance to serve the nation, it would surely be his last opportunity to take the driving seat and probably make things happen for Congress. In the opposition,the Cold War between Bihar’s CM, Nitish Kumar, and Gujarat’s CM, Narendra Modi, may take a bigger shape if Modi is selected as the prime ministerial candidate for NDA.

4 AprCongress indicates , Manmohan may serve third term if UPA wins , while Rahul is not being kept totally away from the gossip on the topic.On the other side, BJP is also yet to clear its stands on whether Modi is the prime ministerial candidate for NDA or not. To add on, Mulayam Singh’s re-indication of formation of a Third-Front by the year end, is adding on to the confusion.
It all looked like,Rahul Vs Modi,till 2012 but now things are getting blur. No matter what the combination may come out as, one thing is assured,with Modi proving to be the most suitable Prime Ministerial candidate amongst any names we take throughout the country , it would never be easy for Rahul Gandhi to get the seat without proving his worth,ever.

Kejriwal’s fast completes 11 days and goes unheard so far !
2 AprLooks like fasts against governments do not bother Indians !! So far, all fasts,in the recent past have failed and Kejriwal, the activist turned politician who is also diabetic, has lost 7 kgs in 11 days indicating even this fast would fail. Arvind Kejriwal is on a fast against inflated water and electricity bills in Delhi. While the party claims there have been lakhs of people signing the ‘ bijli-paani satyagrah ‘pledge,it looks like nothing would actually change.Kejriwal has pledged people not to pay their power bills(and everyone else would pay the bills except for him, I suppose).With the summers knocking the door who would risk a permanent power and water cut? The Delhi government inspired by its counterpart at the Centre (after all they are the same political party) and the Prime Minister , prefers remaining deaf ears while Kejriwal’s detoriating health may soon put him off the fast .
Meanwhile,the Chief Minister,Sheila Dikshit had her birthday celebrated by party members on 31st March and was seen enjoying a chocolate cake on the occasion !
