Congress MP Vijay Darda retracts from his remarks praising Modi !

30 Jul

Vijay Darda, the Congress MP, has been facing severe criticism and media attention since he praised Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi , in a religious function attended by Mr Modi and Baba Ramdev along with Mr Darda. He addressed Modi as the lion of Gujarat and a religious saint. While the media and even Modi noticed his words and also commented that he is worried about how Congress is going to react listening to this statement from its own MP praising Modi !

As expected , once the news spread like wild-fire Mr Darda was seen busy explaining and justifying his statement for Modi  and that he never referred Modi as a religious saint. He gave a funny reasoning, that addressing Modi as a lion was to criticize his involvement in 2002 riots of Gujarat and also to indicate BJP (and RSS) are held hostage by Modi in Gujarat(the political parties he belongs to).

No matter whatever points of sarcasm he may come up with , it is clear that he was actually praising Modi by addressing him as the king of Gujarat as that is what we mean when we use lion and tiger words for an individual!Funny is, all political parties are so scared of losing their reputation (which either ways none have) and their vote bank that they end up mocking themselves by defending or criticizing such small incidents !
