Since Jayalalithaa’s AIADMK party took over the government of Tamil Nadu from DMK, many senior DMK leaders and hundreds of party cadre have been put behind bars on land grab charges which DMK claims, is made-up while the ruling party says is based on genuine complaints. To protest against this , DMK supremo Karunanidhi decided to held “Fill the Jails” agitation,today.About 50,000 DMK cadres and leaders are participating in the protest and this includes Karunanidhi’s daughter,Kanimozhi and son,Stalin.Kanimozhi is out from jail, on bail, in the 2G Scam case and has got permission from court to participate in the protest !
